The “White Paper on Working Women 2026,” compiled to mark the 20th anniversary, presents the results of a survey of 561 female company employees aged 20–49. Conducted from 18 to 23 September 2026, the survey analyses basic conditions and differences in working styles and career perspectives through data.
Key findings include that 90.0% of people satisfied with their jobs are also satisfied with their lives, while people who have decided on their career direction have life-satisfaction levels approximately 30 points higher. The results also showed that people working remotely 1–2 days a week had the highest levels of both job and life satisfaction.
Among people with children, 86.2% of those in their 20s and 51.7% of those in their 30s said they wanted to become managers, indicating a strong preference for management positions even after major life events. The results are presented as potential guidance for companies developing work environments that accommodate diverse career aspirations among working women.
