北都銀行, headquartered in Akita City, is scheduled to merge with 荘内銀行 on 1 January next year. As part of the merger, work is under way to change signage and information boards at its branches to the new bank name.
The two banks, which are subject to the merger, are primarily updating branch signage to prepare to operate under the post-merger name on and around the same date. The signage updates are expected to be carried out as a priority at locations in Akita City.
