Daiwa Hightex developed StelivSheet, a new material designed to address surging crude oil prices. It combines reduced plastic use with cushioning performance and is proposed as a material dedicated to PAS-Line, an automated packaging line for mail-order shipments.
Daiwa Hightex announced the development of StelivSheet, a new material dedicated to automated packaging lines. In response to higher prices for petroleum-based materials, it is being proposed as an alternative material that reduces plastic use while ensuring a stable supply.
Although approximately 1.2 mm thick, the material provides protection, and its compatibility with the paper mark is intended to support compliance with the Containers and Packaging Recycling Act. Reduced material storage space and lower on-site workloads through automation are expected.
With the start of supply, the company began accepting requests for live-machine demonstrations, suitability testing and free samples at its Tokyo and Osaka showrooms. StelivSheet is scheduled to be developed as a material dedicated to PAS-Line.
