サンウェルズ to hold events including training and rehabilitation experiences at its specialized PD House facilities

Sunwels will hold a mini training session and facility tour for care facility counselors in the Sapporo area at PD House, a specialist care facility for people with Parkinson’s disease. The session will include introductions to the facility’s equipment, explanations of its Parkinson’s disease care system and guidance on how to use its services. It is open to care facility counselors in and around Sapporo, as well as other interested individuals. Applications will be accepted through the reservation page or by telephone.

PD House Itabashi will hold a rehabilitation experience session, including a facility tour, hands-on experience with specialist rehabilitation and time for individual consultations with staff. The session is intended for people with Parkinson’s disease-related conditions, their families and other associates, and healthcare and care workers. Applications will be accepted online or by telephone.

PD House Nakano Shirasagi will hold a health class under the themes of “learning” and “practice.” This session will focus on “What It Means to Speak,” with a speech-language-hearing therapist explaining why Parkinson’s disease can make it difficult to produce the voice and what can be done about it. Participants who wish to do so will also be able to receive health measurements, lifestyle advice and take part in a discussion session. The session is intended for people with Parkinson’s disease-related conditions, their families and other associates, and healthcare and care workers. Applications can be submitted online or by telephone.

PD House is a specialist care facility exclusively for people with Parkinson’s disease-related conditions. It provides rehabilitation programs supervised by specialist physicians, home medical visits and 24-hour home-visit nursing services. A feature of the facility network is that 56 facilities are being established nationwide, as of the end of March 2026.
