Against a backdrop of labour shortages at entertainment-industry production sites, フォーミュレーションI.T.S. has launched “ENGINE!!”, a career agency specialising in the entertainment industry. It has introduced a framework that supports on-site workforce recruitment by combining staffing, placement and training.
While demand for content is expanding in the entertainment industry, labour shortages at production sites are becoming increasingly serious, creating demand for workforce infrastructure capable of responding to diversification across streaming, live events, social media and generative AI. Against this backdrop, フォーミュレーションI.T.S. has launched “ENGINE!!”, a career agency specialising in the entertainment industry.
ENGINE!! accepts applications from people with no prior experience and offers free registration and use. It has also established a system under which consultants with on-site experience provide support from consultation through employment and beyond. It currently has a track record of dispatching staff to production sites, primarily for television programmes, and provides talent recommendations based on an understanding of the duties and working styles associated with each occupation, as well as post-placement support. In addition to television programmes, it handles a broad range of job openings in anime, VTuber, events, talent agencies, commercials and advertising.
From the corporate perspective, its strengths include on-the-ground talent matching, recommendations focused on compatibility, the ability to respond quickly to on-site needs and responsible post-placement support. ENGINE!! draws on the Formulation Group’s many years of production experience, with a team that understands the atmosphere on the ground matching talent based on suitability as well. Going forward, it aims to expand its target areas and increase the number of client companies and job openings, becoming the organisation called on first by entertainment-industry production teams.
A comment from representative Ryo Imabeppu (今別府 亮) is reported, stating that while demand for entertainment is increasing, there is a shortage of talent, and that the company will build a system that keeps production sites running.
For future development, the company has indicated a policy of continuing to expand beyond television production into streaming programmes, anime, VTubers, events, talent agencies, commercials and advertising, while increasing the number of client companies and job openings.
