FIXER has announced its on-premises generative AI service “Sovereign GaiXer,” which was tested on actual hardware by Fortience Consulting, a full-service consulting firm. Its key feature is that it avoids reliance on the cloud and keeps the processing of confidential information in-house.
The on-premises generative AI service “Sovereign GaiXer” was developed for companies seeking to avoid cloud AI use when handling confidential information. It was explained that the service is provided as an integrated hardware and software package. Its key strengths include easier budget planning and the absence of concerns over token spikes.
3 Fortience Consulting consultants conducted testing using the actual hardware and evaluated its ease of setup and high level of completeness as a local AI platform. In particular, the deployment process, including network configuration and VPN setup after powering on, was described as straightforward, with low barriers to adoption even for organizations with limited IT resources.
The functions tested mainly involved chat and RAG applications. Emphasis was placed on the ability to process information without sending confidential data outside the organization, fast processing enabled by the onboard GPU, and lower operational workloads than cloud-based AI. Potential applications were indicated across a range of settings, including manufacturing, financial services, retail, legal affairs, human resources, and local government.
As an example of local-government adoption, use of the chat function is advancing in Soka City, and the service was also described as helping address issues such as redacting confidential information in public-record request documents in Iga City. Going forward, enhanced extensibility, including the release of an SDK, is anticipated, with the development of an AI utilization platform based on using cloud and on-premises environments according to their respective roles.
