The second installment of the “Favorite Character Travel” collaboration between Licorice Recoil and JR Tokai will run from 23 October 2026 to 22 April 2027, featuring onboard radio broadcasts, giveaways, a prize draw and online sales.
The second installment of “Favorite Character Travel,” a collaboration between Licorice Recoil and JR Tokai, will run from 23 October 2026 (Friday) to 22 April 2027 (Thursday). The key visual features new illustrations of Nishiki Kumi (西木久美) and Inoue Taki (井上たき), with the collaboration also extending to the Tokaido Shinkansen. The participation requirements and campaign period are based on the official announcement. The on-board presentation and events are planned as the central elements of the campaign.
The collaboration comprises four initiatives: exclusive onboard broadcasts of Licorice Radio, giveaways of bromide-style cards and original clear files, invitations for 300 people to the limited “Oshi-Tabi” event through a prize draw, and onboard-only online sales of goods. Listening to the onboard radio broadcasts is a prerequisite for all of them.
The exclusive onboard Licorice Radio broadcast will deliver all 6 episodes across 3 periods. To listen, participants must complete a speed check and questionnaire on the official website, and listening must take place while travelling on the Shinkansen. The periods are designated as Parts 1 through 3, and travelling during all periods is required to listen to all episodes.
The prize redemption location differs by period: Phase 1 at Sanseido Bookstore in Yurakucho, Phase 2 at Oasis 21 i Center in Sakae, and Phase 3 at the Kanayama Tourist Information Center in Nagoya. Prize distribution will end when stocks run out, and redemption by a proxy is not permitted.
The 300 participants selected in the prize draw will receive invitations to the limited “Favorite Character Trip” event scheduled to be held in Tokyo on 23 May 2027. Entries are open to listeners who listened during the campaign period, with each person limited to 1 entry per day.
