Nippon Ichi Software significantly raised its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Driven by strong domestic sales of its new game ほの暮しの庭, operating profit is expected to reach the ¥700 million range, while the share price briefly hit the daily price limit.
On 28 August 2026, Nippon Ichi Software raised its consolidated earnings forecast, increasing full-year operating profit from the previous forecast of ¥296 million to ¥715 million. The share price rebounded sharply in the market the following week, briefly reaching the daily price limit and renewing its year-to-date high.
The main reasons cited for the revision were higher domestic sales and improved profit margins for the new IP. Full-year revenue was revised 13.1% above the previous forecast to ¥5.411 billion, ordinary profit was raised to ¥906 million, and net income attributable to owners of the parent was also significantly increased to ¥718 million. First-half figures were also revised upward.
The new game ほの暮しの庭 was released on 30 July. Cumulative domestic sales exceeded 100,000 copies on 3 August, four days after release, and 150,000 copies on 10 August. The game has been so well received that some stores have experienced shortages, and the company is working to strengthen its supply system.
Looking ahead, operating profit for the fiscal year ending March 2027 is expected to expand to approximately 2.4 times the previous forecast. In the stock market, the share price was bid up to ¥1,532, briefly reaching the daily price limit on 31 August and renewing its year-to-date high.
