明星工業 has revised its consolidated first-half ordinary profit forecast downward from the previous forecast of ¥3.2 billion to ¥2.9 billion. The figure is now expected to fall below the previous-year period, while the full-year ordinary profit forecast remains unchanged. The revision reflects the recognition of losses on investment partnership operations and an increase in tax expenses.
In a performance revision announced after the market close on 22 October, 明星工業 revised its consolidated first-half ordinary profit forecast downward from the previous forecast of ¥3.2 billion to ¥2.9 billion. Ordinary profit was ¥3.12 billion in the previous-year period, and the revised forecast now implies a decline.
The full-year ordinary profit forecast remains unchanged at the previous forecast of ¥7.65 billion, so the company’s policy of making no major changes to its initial forecast remains in place.
The company cited the expected recognition of losses on investment partnership operations and other items, which is expected to result in non-operating income and expenses falling below the initial forecast, as well as tax expenses expected to exceed assumptions. The interim dividend is expected to remain unchanged at ¥25 per share.
