Sekisui House has revised down its consolidated revenue forecast for the fiscal year ending January 2027 to ¥4.26 trillion. The company said the revision was due to the sluggish US single-family housing market and higher material prices and interest rates.
Sekisui House revised its full-year consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending January 2027, lowering its revenue forecast to ¥4.26 trillion, up 1.5% year on year. This is ¥93 billion below the previously announced forecast.
The US single-family housing business was affected by sluggish market conditions, including restrained purchases amid higher material prices and interest rates resulting from the impact of tensions in the Middle East. Meanwhile, the domestic rental housing management, remodeling and urban redevelopment businesses remained solid.
The operating profit forecast was left unchanged, while ordinary profit is expected to exceed the previous forecast through equity-method investment gains from the same business. Equity-method investment gains are expected to contribute an additional ¥2 billion.
For the period from February through July, operating profit, ordinary profit and net income were all reportedly expected to reach record highs. The strength of the other businesses was emphasized despite the continued sluggishness of the US single-family housing market.
