Mitsubishi Heavy Industries announced that its 10 MW-class centrifugal chiller “JHT-Z270I” has obtained ETL and AHRI certifications in the US. This will accelerate the rollout of power and cooling solutions for AI data centers in the US.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has obtained ETL and AHRI certifications for its 10 MW-class centrifugal chiller JHT-Z270I. The product can now be sold in the US market, and the company’s rollout of power and cooling solutions for AI data centers in the US is expected to advance.
JHT-Z270I is used as a core component of a modular chiller plant (MCP), contributing to improvements in data center power usage effectiveness (PUE) and water usage effectiveness (WUE). Drawing on its compressor technology developed over many years, the unit provides high-capacity, high-efficiency cooling performance.
Against the backdrop of the company’s cooling equipment technology, which holds approximately 60% of the domestic market, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is accelerating the commercial rollout of high-efficiency solutions for AI infrastructure. The company will continue expanding its product lineup integrating power, cooling and energy management, while promoting collaboration with partners.
As AI data centers become more widespread, the importance of energy-efficiency metrics such as Token per Watt is increasing alongside computing performance. JHT-Z270I is positioned as a core facility designed to meet these requirements.
