サイバートラスト will launch its PQC-ready key management service, サイバートラスト KMS, in November 2026 to ensure data sovereignty. The service will manage keys at facilities in Japan and establish an infrastructure that enables users to control sensitive data stored in cloud storage.
サイバートラスト announced that it will launch サイバートラスト Key Management Service (KMS) in November 2026, managing encryption keys on behalf of cloud service providers. The service will provide an infrastructure that enables users holding sensitive data on cloud storage to control their encryption keys in an environment separated from cloud operational administrators.
The service will securely manage encryption keys at electronic certification centers distributed across multiple locations in Japan. This will enable users to ensure data sovereignty while enhancing the reliability of cloud services, the company said. Cloud service providers will be able to ensure data sovereignty by incorporating the service into their offerings.
The service is designed with future migration to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) in mind and is intended to support enhanced security for cloud service providers and users advancing their transition to PQC. Combining it with サイバートラスト's trust services is expected to further strengthen data reliability.
