Nohmi Bosai raised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the current fiscal year from ¥19.8 billion to ¥23.7 billion and maintained its forecast for a record high, the first in 23 years. It also significantly raised its first-half ordinary profit forecast and now expects to set a new record high.
On 29 October, Nohmi Bosai announced that it had raised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the current fiscal year by 19.5%, from the previous forecast of ¥19.8 billion to ¥23.7 billion. The expected increase expanded from 2.5% to 22.4%, further raising the forecast for record-high profit.
At the same time, the first-half consolidated ordinary profit forecast was substantially raised from ¥3.93 billion to ¥7.54 billion, well above the ¥3.26 billion recorded in the year-earlier period. The growth rate also expanded from 20.4% to 2.3 times.
The full-year ordinary profit forecast was newly set at ¥237.00 billion, based on results that currently exceed the previous forecast. As a result, the company is expected to set a new full-year record high for the first time in 7 years.
Regarding the reasons for the interim revision, the company explained that although market conditions remained firm, uncertainty in the external environment and constraints on construction capacity were present. Higher-than-expected net sales, improved profitability on large projects, price revisions and the effects of greater operating efficiency contributed to the improvement in profit.
