The launch of Japan Communications Inc.’s Neo Career blue mobile service has been postponed by approximately five months from 24 November, and the launch date has not been set. The delay is attributed to technical issues identified in interconnection with voice networks and others, and no new fees or terms have been announced at this time.
Japan Communications Inc. announced on 28 October 2026 that the launch of Neo Career would be postponed by approximately five months. A new launch date has not been set, while the current Japan Communications SIM service is expected to remain available.
The delay follows the identification of technical issues in interconnection tests with MNOs, including NTT DOCOMO, NTT East and NTT West, and voice service providers on fixed-line networks. The company plans to complete testing and resume service once the issues have been resolved.
Neo Career is designed to provide not only data communications but also voice calls and SMS over the company’s own network. At this time, the functions to be offered and their pricing have not been announced. Existing plans remain available, and users are waiting for specific announcements regarding the launch date and fees.
This is the second postponement, and the decision on a launch date is expected to take further time.
