株式会社AndTech is scheduled to hold a Zoom webinar on 10 November 2026, featuring lectures and demonstrations on highly efficient lithium recovery technology using direct lithium extraction (DLE). Experts from Hirosaki University and 室町ケミカル will serve as speakers, providing an opportunity to learn about new technology trends in lithium recovery.
株式会社AndTech announced that it will hold an online seminar, “Highly Efficient Lithium Recovery Technology Using Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE),” on 10 November 2026 as part of its Zoom courses supporting R&D. The seminar will focus on technologies for selectively recovering lithium from high-concentration solutions such as salt-lake brine, and will cover electrochemical pumping methods and the characterization of adsorbents. The seminar will be delivered via Zoom as a webcast, and the URL will be provided after advance registration.
Part 1 will cover the development of a direct lithium extraction and recovery system using an electrochemical pumping method, with Niimura Kiyoto (新村潔人) of Hirosaki University as the speaker. It will introduce the mechanism for lithium selectivity using a solid electrolyte known as LLTO, the challenges of conventional single-power-source, two-electrode cells, and the operating principles of the newly proposed two-power-source, three-electrode system.
Part 2 will examine lithium recovery from salt-lake water and lithium-ion battery (LIB) waste liquid using lithium-selective adsorbents. The speaker will be Izumi Takeshi (出水丈志) of 室町ケミカル, who will explain the characteristics of lithium adsorbents, the development status of acid-resistant materials, and evaluation results concerning their suitability for DLE.
