HomePod mini inventory of the orange and yellow models is running low worldwide, with delivery waits growing longer. The waiting dates shown by color on Japan’s official website vary, and rumors have also emerged of a new model announcement on 13 October.
Inventories of the orange and yellow HomePod mini are running low worldwide, with delivery waits reaching up to 8 weeks in some countries. In Japan, only the orange and yellow models are experiencing particularly long delays, and delivery conditions vary locally.
According to information from Japan’s official Apple online store, all 5 colors are priced at ¥22,800, but estimated delivery dates varied significantly by color. In-store pickup availability also differed by color, with white unavailable for pickup.
The orange and yellow shortages have also been reported overseas, indicating regional differences in inventory by color.
The shortages are thought to be related to expectations that an announcement of a new HomePod mini is approaching. Bloomberg reports and local information have raised the possibility that a new product will be announced on 13 October.
