TKP, a leading operator of rental meeting rooms, announced on 30 October 2026 that it would establish 響咲, a joint venture with 懐刀, and pursue IP development, beginning with the production of a voice-comic app and including the acquisition of rights to adapt manga into anime. The new company will have capital of ¥22 million, with 懐刀 holding 51% and TKP 49% of the equity, and is scheduled to be established on 1 December 2026.
響咲 will have two core businesses: the planning, production and distribution of voice comics, which add voice actors' performances and direction to manga works, and the acquisition and licensing of various usage rights, including anime adaptation rights. As its first project, it will produce a fully voiced voice-comic app with the aim of expanding the audience of fans of the original works.
Looking ahead, the company will pursue synergies with TKP's existing businesses by exploring collaborations between IP and live events held at rental meeting rooms, event halls and hotels operated by TKP. By combining 懐刀's network with TKP's nationwide locations, it will promote the discovery and development of IP and its expansion across multiple channels.
