P&G Japan announced that it will launch a new product in its Pampers line, “Pampers ‘Best for Skin’ Nighttime,” in late October. Designed for nighttime use, the product adds a new skin-irritation prevention feature to complement the leakage protection of existing products.
P&G Japan, based in Kobe, announced that it will launch “Pampers ‘Best for Skin’ Nighttime,” a new disposable diaper in its Pampers line, in late October. Designed for nighttime use, the product adds a new feature to help prevent skin problems. The company aims to address both the nighttime burden and concerns about skin irritation faced by dual-income households. Existing products focused on preventing nighttime leaks.
The new product uses a petroleum jelly-infused sheet designed to reduce friction and chafing during extended wear. It will be offered at an open price, with the company indicating that this will give it greater flexibility in promotions. At a press conference, company president Konoha Shinsuke (木葉 慎介) pointed to further room for growth in the Japanese market.
The company also announced improvements to Whisper, a women’s urinary incontinence care product, and the launch of a new premium line for h&s for Men, a men’s shampoo brand. It said it would also address the needs of growing demand segments, including seniors and single men, by moving toward higher value-added products.
Through these announcements, P&G Japan indicated that it will strengthen its product lineup with a greater focus on skin care and nighttime convenience.
