Meiko rebounded sharply. Investor interest increased following news that a US securities firm had upgraded its investment rating on the company to Overweight.
Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities changed its investment rating from Equal-weight to Overweight and raised its target price from ¥39,200 to ¥39,600.
The firm expects earnings growth in substrates for AI servers, LEO satellites and high-value-added substrates for North American smartphones to accelerate from the second half of the fiscal year ending March 2027 onward. It also expects margins to recover as the pass-through of higher prices progresses.
Based on these factors, the firm indicated that there remains considerable room for the stock to rebound after its correction.
