Seibu Railway operated a train on a distinctive route linking only 1 station, with one of its box-seat carriages serving as the centerpiece of its final run before retirement. Official comments suggested the creation of new experiences using the route and the conclusion of the carriage's service.
The Seibu Group is promoting its Pet Smile Project. After arriving at Seibuen Station, event participants headed to Seibuen Amusement Park, where they were allowed to take part in attractions with their pet dogs during the event period. An additional event was held on Sunset Hill Shopping Street, where owners and their dogs walked along a red carpet.
The economic impact centered on pets is expanding, and the pet-related market is estimated to have reached approximately ¥400 billion. In response to this trend, the group plans to enhance the value of “time spent with pets” by expanding services and holding events along its railway lines.
The Seibu Group has promoted the project since 2011 and entered into a capital and business alliance agreement with Petgo in June 2026. It plans to continue expanding facilities and services that allow pets to accompany their owners.
