Sekisui House announced its interim results for the fiscal year ending January 2027, revealing that rental housing management was its most profitable business and that property sales related to urban redevelopment significantly boosted profit.
Sekisui House announced its interim results for the period from February to July 2026. Net sales fell 2.5% year on year to ¥1.96564 trillion, operating profit rose 16.0% to ¥180.37 billion, ordinary profit rose 23.8% to ¥169.081 billion, and interim net income rose 23.1% to ¥125.053 billion. Profit from the urban redevelopment business can fluctuate significantly following the review of segment classifications, but the overall changes are considered to exclude the impact of this reclassification.
The rental housing management business was identified as the company’s biggest earner, with net sales of ¥368.016 billion and operating profit of ¥41.745 billion, exceeding the operating profit of the detached housing business. Centered on Sha Maison, its stock-based business, including management and operations, provides a stable source of earnings.
Operating profit in the urban redevelopment business rose sharply by 437.7% year on year to ¥27.352 billion. Property sales to Sekisui House Reit, Inc. contributed to the increase, while profit declined in the international business, where the impact of post-acquisition integration in the United States and market conditions was pronounced.
The company revised its full-year forecasts, raising net sales to ¥4.26 trillion, up 1.5% from the previous fiscal year, while leaving its operating profit forecast unchanged at ¥350 billion. It revised its ordinary profit forecast to ¥316 billion and its net income forecast to ¥224 billion. The company expects to pay an annual dividend of ¥145 per share, including a year-end dividend of ¥73, and plans to provide 5 kg of Uonuma-grown Koshihikari rice as a shareholder benefit to shareholders holding 1,000 or more shares.
