Serendip Holdings introduced a business succession M&A case study at a talk hosted by the East Japan Branch of the Japan Auto Parts Industries Association (JAPIA). The talk discussed how to approach post-succession corporate growth from the perspectives of both the transferring and acquiring parties.
On 30 September 2026, Serendip Holdings took part as a speaker in the talk “M&A and Business Succession” hosted by the East Japan Branch of JAPIA, a general incorporated association. From the transferring party’s perspective, it discussed why the company chose third-party succession and the conditions it sought from the successor. From the acquiring party’s perspective, it explained its approach to corporate growth through post-succession management reform and improvements at manufacturing sites.
The speakers were Serendip Holdings representative Takeuchi Aru (竹内 在) and Takeuchi Koichi (竹内 弘一), chairman of group company サーテックカリヤ. During the talk session, the participants exchanged views based on their practical experience, including the selection of a successor and post-succession management.
Details of the talk were provided through a link to JAPIA’s presentation materials. The event was intended to communicate the realities of business succession M&A to business owners and successors in response to requests for such information. Participants commented that the talk was highly practical and specific because it was delivered by people with direct experience.
Going forward, Serendip Holdings stated that, under its management philosophy of “Creating 100-Year Companies,” it will address the business succession challenges faced by Japan’s manufacturing companies, pursue sustainable corporate growth through post-succession management reform and improvements at manufacturing sites, and work to strengthen the competitiveness of Japan’s manufacturing industry.
