A subsidiary of あすか製薬ホールディングス has entered into an exclusive sales licensing agreement with a Taiwanese veterinary pharmaceutical company for a canine Cushing’s syndrome treatment. It aims to begin sales following an application for local approval.
あすかアニマルヘルス (Minato, Tokyo) announced that it had entered into an exclusive sales licensing agreement with a Taiwanese veterinary pharmaceutical company for Trilostane Tablets “Asuka,” a treatment for hyperadrenocorticism in dogs (Cushing’s syndrome). The agreement is believed to include the exclusive grant of sales rights through a local partner.
Sales are scheduled to begin following an application for approval to the Taiwanese authorities by the local sales partner. The specific timing of approval has not been disclosed, but distribution in the Taiwanese market is expected to begin once approval is obtained.
This will be あすかアニマルヘルス’s first full-scale overseas expansion project. The company said, “We are promoting overseas expansion, mainly in Asia, and consider this project to be the first step.”
