Komori Corporation held its first Family Day at the Tsukuba Plant. A total of 28 families and 90 people participated over 3 days, with factory tours and hands-on printing machinery experiences offered to families.
This Family Day was held after moving the event, which had previously taken place at the head office, to the Tsukuba Plant. It ran for 3 days from 25 to 27 August, with a total of 28 families and 90 participants. Applications exceeded expectations, so the number of participant slots was increased each day.
The event was intended to help employees' families understand their workplaces, business operations and working environment. It provided not only children but also their families with opportunities to experience the factory and printing machinery.
In the morning, participants received an introduction to the company and toured the Tsukuba Plant. In the afternoon, they toured KGC and KGC-S. KGC-S is a showroom for banknote printing presses, and although access is normally restricted to general employees, it was specially opened as part of Family Day.
