Today, 12 October, the State Bank of Vietnam announced that it had kept the central rate for the dollar against the dong at 25,629 dong. In the domestic market, the floor was at the same level for buying and selling, and the floor range was maintained at 24,398–26,860 dong. Rate information for the euro and Japanese yen was also provided, alongside multiple indicators affecting domestic and international foreign-exchange trends. Predictions indicated that US inflation data, the outlook for Federal Reserve monetary policy, US Treasury yields and geopolitical conditions would affect the dollar this week, with the dollar expected to remain firm. At the same time, stronger inflationary pressure could strengthen the dollar's upward momentum.
The US dollar exchange rate is expected to fluctuate depending on assessments of US CPI, interest-rate differentials and the fiscal outlook, and the release of key indicators this week could determine the market's response. It was reported that developments in domestic and international markets will need to be monitored.
