Tetsu Sunahara (砂原哲) of the au Design project previewed an announcement of new INFOBAR news on 18 November. An exhibition of successive INFOBAR models is also scheduled at GINZA 456 in Ginza, with the event running through 31 March 2027.
On 1 November, Tetsu Sunahara (砂原哲) of the au Design project posted on X that preparations were well under way to “bring you new news on 18 November,” previewing new INFOBAR news. The milestone of 23 years since the launch of the first INFOBAR and 25 years since the announcement of the concept model “info.bar” was also highlighted.
At KDDI’s GINZA 456 Created by KDDI facility in Ginza, Tokyo, the INFOBAR-themed experiential event “もしもし、わたし -Sparked by INFOBAR-” is being held through 31 March 2027, featuring displays of successive INFOBAR devices and merchandise.
The event centres on an AI-powered experience. Visitors have their face photographed and voice recorded on the basement level, then create “another self” based on their values and desires. The completed image is projected onto a wall, while the voice is reproduced in a telephone booth as an in-person experience substituting for the participant’s natural voice.
The date for releasing the information has not been decided, and the details of the announcement will not be known until 18 November.
