The Makuake project for PMO Aurora80, launched on 30 July 2026, has surpassed ¥1 million in total backing. A Japanese layout model is also available, with delivery scheduled by the end of September 2026.
Aurora80 is an 80% TKL keyboard offered by PMO, a sub-brand of WOBKEY, with a crowdfunding target of ¥500,000. As of the time of publication, total backing had exceeded ¥1 million, and it was announced that the project had reached more than 200% of its target.
The keyboard uses an approximately 2.3 kg CNC-machined aluminum chassis and supports three connection modes: USB Type-C, 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth. Its dual structure can switch between gasket mount and top mount, and it also supports VIA keymap customization and hot-swappable switches.
Both Japanese and English layouts are available. The Japanese layout starts at ¥22,520, while the regular retail price is ¥26,500. The early-bird plan offers a 15% discount from the regular retail price, and delivery is expected by the end of September 2026.
Greenkeys has also published a hands-on review of the Japanese-layout PMO Aurora80 JIS. The combination of its substantial typing feel and aluminum chassis was well received, while the review also noted that its approximately 2.3 kg weight makes it unsuitable for portability.
