TREホールディングス is advancing an environmental complex project in Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture, as part of an initiative aimed at creating new GX (green transformation) industries. This includes the existing recycling and biomass power generation businesses, as well as the use of a new site.
A plan to use approximately 330,000 square metres of the former Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding site secured in April is now under way, with a policy of promoting activities from waste-plastic recycling through power generation under a local production-for-local-consumption model.
