Choei has acquired its first income-producing property in Hokkaido. In addition to acquiring a family-oriented apartment building in Nishi-ku, Sapporo, the company aims to expand from its Kyoto-centered operations into more than a dozen areas.
Choei announced that it acquired one company-owned income-producing property on 28 October 2026. The property is the family-oriented apartment building “NOERU Miyanom沢” in Nishi-ku, Sapporo, with 19 residential units and 21 parking spaces. The four-story reinforced-concrete building has a site area of 908.89 square meters and a total floor area of 1,345.57 square meters. It is located an 11-minute walk from Miyanom沢 Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Tozai Line.
The company operates real estate management and rental businesses primarily in Kyoto and aims to expand into 15 areas in and around major cities nationwide. Following this acquisition in Hokkaido, its rental business presence will extend to 10 prefectures.
The population of Nishi-ku, Sapporo, continued to increase from Heisei 2 to Reiwa 7 according to the national census, and the company judged that strong rental demand could be expected given the surrounding environment. The acquisition is viewed as a means of further advancing regional diversification toward the goal of entering 15 areas. The addition of a Hokkaido base to its Kyoto-centered property portfolio is expected to support a shift toward a portfolio less susceptible to rental supply and demand conditions. Going forward, the pace of acquisitions in each operating area and the accumulation of rental income will be key points of focus.
