At the awards ceremony held during the 69th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Periodontology, the recipients of the Periodontal Tissue Regenerative Medicine Award (KAKEN Award) were announced, including the recipients of the Outstanding Paper Award and Outstanding Presentation Award.
The recipients of the Periodontal Tissue Regenerative Medicine Award sponsored by KAKEN PHARMACEUTICAL CO.,LTD. were announced at the awards ceremony held during the 69th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Periodontology. The awards recognize outstanding research, papers and presentations related to periodontal tissue regeneration, respectively. The meeting was held at the Hiroshima International Conference Center, and the company's involvement in the awards ceremony was also noted.
The recipients of the Outstanding Paper Award were Risako Mikami (三上 理沙子) of the Division of Advanced Materials Evaluation, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Institute of Science Tokyo, and Sota Motoike (本池 総太) of the Division of Clinical Application, Center for iPS Cell Research and Application, Kyoto University, 2 people in total.
The recipients of the Outstanding Presentation Award were Toshiaki Nakamura (中村 利明) of the Department of Periodontology, Adult Dentistry Center, Kagoshima University Hospital, and TRAN NGOC ANH KHOA of the Division of Periodontology and Endodontology, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Niigata University, 2 people in total.
The prizes included certificates presented by the president of the nonprofit organization Japanese Society of Periodontology, as well as plaques, trophies and prize money provided by KAKEN PHARMACEUTICAL CO.,LTD. as supplementary prizes. KAKEN PHARMACEUTICAL CO.,LTD. has been a supporting member of the society since 2017 and has stated that it will continue contributing to the development of periodontal disease prevention and treatment through education and public awareness activities.
