Uniqlo announced that it will raise the prices of 11 products, primarily autumn/winter items. It cited higher raw material and logistics costs and the weaker yen as reasons, and plans to apply the price increases in stages from 10 November.
Among the specific products subject to revision, the Kando Jacket will rise from ¥6,990 to ¥7,990, while the Kando Pants will increase from ¥3,990 to ¥4,990. The bundled purchase offer for color socks, previously 4 pairs for ¥990, will end, with the price changing to ¥390 per pair.
The company also raised the prices of some products in September. In addition to these price increases, it has revised service fees for shipping, alterations and shirt sleeve alterations. It plans to continue raising prices from December onward, with raw material costs and foreign exchange trends likely to affect future pricing.
