A survey of AIO scores, based on the mechanical evaluation of 11 items on official websites by employee size, found that companies with 300 or more employees had the lowest average score, with the gap versus other categories reaching approximately 5 points.
リブランディング株式会社 conducted a survey using its proprietary database to compare, by employee size, the implementation status of 11 items related to AIO on official websites. AIO refers to information structuring that supports interpretation by AI search and generative AI. The survey covered 2,608 companies with 1 or more employees registered among the 43,332 companies for which official website information was collected. Companies were divided into 4 categories: 1–9 employees, 10–49 employees, 50–299 employees, and 300 or more employees. AIO scores were calculated on a 100-point scale, with equal weighting for each item.
The key finding was that the average AIO score for companies with 300 or more employees was 21.6 points, the lowest of the 4 categories. The scores were 26.8 points for companies with 1–9 employees, 26.7 points for those with 10–49 employees, and 25.3 points for those with 50–299 employees. The difference among the categories was limited to approximately 1.5 points at most.
The median score was 18.2 points for companies with 300 or more employees and 27.3 points for all other categories. In the distribution by number of items confirmed, 26.5% of companies with 300 or more employees had only 1 item, while 13.4% had 5 or more items. At the same time, confirmation of basic information tended to be less common. Service descriptions and links to proprietary research and reports were relatively more common among companies with 300 or more employees.
The survey notes that it was based primarily on automated assessment of homepages, and that information on lower-level pages may not be detected. Factors other than company size were not controlled for, and the results are not intended to indicate the relative performance of individual companies.
