The event covered diverse areas of Thailand’s entertainment industry, including films, dramas and music, and was also attended by Japanese broadcasters, streaming platforms and production-services companies.
Orn, formerly of BNK48, performed a solo vocal number on stage, while the new Thai boy group VRYSE performed a dance to “Follow Me,” the original soundtrack from the film In Harmony. VRYSE consists of 4 members and was reported to have demonstrated its presence as a group.
The presentations introduced the works produced by each company, their production structures and overseas expansion initiatives. Participants included companies producing short-form dramas and providing production services such as filming, editing and VFX. Networking and business meetings with Japanese companies were held after the event, leading to active discussions about future collaboration, including joint production and expansion into Japan as well as distribution and sales of works.
In Japan, interest in Thai dramas, GL, T-POP and films has grown through the popularity of Thai BL productions. The event was described as a platform for promoting Thailand’s entertainment industry with a view to overseas expansion.
