KYOCERA Corporation will install recycling equipment for the first time to recover tungsten carbide from used cemented carbide tools and plans to bring the smelting equipment online in fiscal 2030.
The recycling equipment that KYOCERA Corporation is newly introducing will use used cemented carbide tools as raw material to recover tungsten carbide.
This will be the company’s first installation of recycling equipment and will establish a system for completing the tungsten carbide recycling process in-house.
The equipment is scheduled to come online in fiscal 2030, with the smelting equipment expected to begin operations during that fiscal year.
