The updated Toyota full-size pickup truck 'Tundra,' scheduled for release in Japan this winter, was unveiled in the United States. It features a comprehensive update to its new design, driving performance and safety technology.
The updated model adopts a new front-end design developed by the Toyota Motor North America team, emphasizing a rugged appearance through its wide stance and treatment of the lower center section of the bumper. The interior features a newly designed steering wheel, refreshing the driving environment.
Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) has been improved to enhance ride comfort, and the 3 drive modes make differences in driving feel easier to appreciate. A premium system combining AVS and air suspension is available as an option across all grades, with a design that supports ride-height adjustment when towing or carrying a load.
Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 (TSS 4.0) is standard on all vehicles and includes pre-collision technology, dynamic radar cruise control with operation across all speed ranges, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams and lane-keeping assistance. Convenience features including an Emergency Driving Stop System, Panoramic View Monitor and Rear Camera Detection are also included.
The vehicle is scheduled to launch in Japan this winter and is expected to become available at Toyota vehicle dealerships nationwide.
