Cross-company mentoring provided by PERSOL Holdings is a program in which women at the department-head level and executive officers from other companies interact across corporate boundaries to promote the development of women leaders. The program has expanded from Phase 1 to Phase 3, and the number of participating companies has increased to 11.
Cross-company mentoring promoted by PERSOL Holdings is structured to consider the development of women leaders across companies, involving not only the women themselves but also mentors and human resources personnel. Women at the department-head level serve as mentees, paired with people equivalent to executive officers at other companies as mentors, and the three parties seek solutions to challenges from their respective positions.
The program originated in a survey by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on cross-company mentoring. After the PERSOL Group participated in the initiative, it developed the program with the aim of extending it to Japanese companies as a whole. Phase 1 began in February 2025, Phase 2 began in October of the same year, and Phase 3 started on 28 August 2026. The 11 participating companies include Sapporo Holdings, CAC, J. Front Retailing and Shizuoka Bank.
