Burger King will open its 2nd store in Asahikawa City. It will open in a unit on the 1st floor of AEON MALL Asahikawa Station, with the opening scheduled for 1 December 2026. The store is expected to occupy the former Mos Burger site as an existing-fit-out location.
Global hamburger chain Burger King will open its 2nd store in Asahikawa City. The location is a unit on the 1st floor of AEON MALL Asahikawa Station in front of JR Asahikawa Station, between the current tenants Godiva and Royce. The opening is scheduled for 1 December 2026.
The new store will occupy the site formerly operated by Mos Burger as an existing-fit-out location. After Mos Burger closed, a recent example was Freshness Burger moving into the former Sapporo Asabu store, and the new opening may follow a similar pattern.
The store will be operated by Yamamoto Building, headquartered in Asahikawa. The company operates 5 Alpha pachinko and slot locations in Asahikawa, as well as franchises including Pepper Lunch and Karayama as part of its food-service franchise business. Burger King will operate as a franchisee of BK Japan Holdings, making this its 8th store in Hokkaido.
