IDEC's large buy orders failed to execute at the open, and the stock started at a bid indication, attracting buying interest. Investors welcomed expanding opportunities in fields such as robotics and recent earnings outperformance at the dedicated control-equipment manufacturer.
The company revised its forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, raising revenue from ¥75.5 billion to ¥85.0 billion and operating profit from ¥7.2 billion to ¥9.4 billion. Demand for semiconductors, robots and machine tools was firm, mainly in Japan and China, and the earnings outlook was raised for all regions.
The stock passed the level of the record high set on 12 August while remaining at an indicative price.
