Sotas announced that it has begun providing Toyota Boshoku Corporation with “Sotas Chemical Survey.” The service aims to upgrade chemical-substance management operations through centralized management of SDS and chemical-product information.
Sotas has begun providing Sotas Chemical Survey to Toyota Boshoku Corporation. The service is intended to improve the efficiency and sophistication of chemical-substance management by centralizing the registration and management of SDS and other chemical-product information.
Sotas Chemical Survey supports information sharing across the supply chain through functions including requests for and collection of information on chemical substances contained in products, data management, SDS document creation and version control, and cross-checks against regulatory databases. The adoption was supported by the system's high-accuracy SDS reading and registration performed by AI and specialist staff, and the service was selected to meet Toyota Boshoku Corporation's needs.
Going forward, Sotas plans to develop an aggregation function required for compliance with the PRTR system based on registered chemical-product information, and to continue expanding the service to reflect operational needs. It is also advancing initiatives related to CMP, a chemical-substance information traceability management platform, and plans to strengthen service offerings with a view to meeting industry standards.
Service adoption is expanding, primarily among chemical and materials manufacturers, with multiple examples indicating monthly growth of approximately 15%. Sotas will continue supporting operational transformation at more companies by providing value as an information platform with CMP compatibility in view.
