Careerlink raised its consolidated earnings forecast for the second quarter (first six months) of the fiscal year ending March 2027. The company raised its forecasts for revenue to ¥23.290 billion, operating profit to ¥3.020 billion, ordinary profit to ¥3.037 billion and interim net profit attributable to owners of the parent to ¥1.970 billion. Revenue is expected to increase 3.4% from the previous forecast, while operating profit is expected to rise sharply, by 78.5%.
In office staffing services, order activity remained firm, centered on My Number-related projects, benefit payment operations and citizens' service counter operations. In manufacturing staffing services, orders from existing customers involved in housing equipment manufacturing exceeded expectations, while orders also increased in electrical equipment and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, owing to expanding demand related to AI and data centers. On the earnings side, contributions came from revisions to dispatch rates, more efficient business processes, efficient use of registered-worker recruitment costs and the partial change in the timing of IT investment to the second half.
For the second half, the company is considering proactive investment, including IT investment, and expanding the recruitment of specialist personnel. However, its full-year consolidated earnings forecast was left unchanged because it is difficult to forecast the volume of contract work for local governments in the BPO-related business segment from the third quarter onward.
