Local company りらいぶ has become the principal sponsor of the Sendai 89ERS. The team, which is targeting a first-season championship in the B.League, whose season opens in September, will be supported through a close regional partnership.
りらいぶ, a functional apparel manufacturer headquartered in Sendai, has become the principal sponsor of the Sendai 89ERS for the current season. りらいぶ President Sasaki Takashi (佐々木貴史), 89ERS President Shimura Takehiko (志村雄彦), and player Watanabe Shota (渡辺翔太) attended the announcement ceremony.
Last year, りらいぶ supported all teams as an official B.League partner, fitting uniforms with small tags equipped with its Relive Engine performance-support system. The tags helped maintain players’ condition and improve their performance. This season, the company’s support will focus on its home city of Sendai.
The 89ERS are targeting the inaugural B.PREMIER championship in the season beginning in September. The partnership with りらいぶ is expected to strengthen as part of efforts to promote sports and revitalize the local community.
Player Watanabe Shota (渡辺翔太) spoke of his determination to compete alongside the team, while President Sasaki Takashi (佐々木貴史) stressed the importance of supporting sports activities in regional areas.
