SynX and Image One have begun a collaboration to strengthen the provision of cybersecurity services for medical institutions. The collaboration will establish a framework for providing medical institutions with comprehensive security support, including web application assessments and penetration testing.
In recent years, ransomware attacks and unauthorised access incidents targeting medical institutions have increased, making it a challenge to secure medical information systems, including electronic medical records, and establish business continuity plans. As the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare also calls for compliance with its guidelines, medical institutions are reportedly finding it difficult to implement adequate measures because of shortages of specialised personnel and other factors.
Against this backdrop, Image One, which has a track record of implementing and operating systems for medical institutions, and SynX, which provides vulnerability assessments and security consulting, will collaborate to strengthen their framework for providing comprehensive security support to medical institutions.
The collaboration will cover web application assessments, platform assessments, penetration testing, security assessments, security consulting and support for strengthening the security of medical information systems. The companies will provide comprehensive services covering not only assessments but also risk analysis and remediation support.
Going forward, the companies aim to help resolve cybersecurity issues in the medical sector through joint seminars, security awareness activities for medical institutions and joint proposals for security services. Further details will be provided on Image One’s dedicated webpage.
