三ッ星 substantially raised its forecast for current-period ordinary profit and expects to set a record high for the first time in 30 periods. Cumulative ordinary profit for the second quarter (April–September) was ¥560 million, representing a substantial increase year on year.
三ツ星 announced its results after the close on 6 November, reporting cumulative ordinary profit of ¥560 million for the second quarter (April–September) of the fiscal year ending March 2027. This was 6.5x the year-earlier figure and exceeded the previous forecast of ¥160 million.
The company substantially raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast from ¥410 million to ¥800 million, increasing its projected growth rate from 6.7% to 2.1x, and expects to set a record high for the first time in 30 periods.
In the latest three-month period, ordinary profit for the July–September quarter surged to ¥340 million, while the operating margin on sales improved from 2.5% to 8.8%.
Compared with the previous forecast, first-half results were revenue of ¥7,440 million, ordinary profit of ¥560 million, net profit of ¥356 million and adjusted EPS of ¥87.1. The company is expected to exceed its revised forecast.
