Mitsubishi Electric announced that it will acquire U.S. software developer PXiSE Energy Solutions LLC for $1.4 billion (approximately ¥220 billion).
The acquisition is aimed at integrating PXiSE's software technologies related to electricity trading and control with Mitsubishi Electric's equipment, enabling the company to expand smart energy services that optimize energy use as a whole around the world.
Through this initiative, Mitsubishi Electric plans to strengthen its offering of solutions that combine its power control technologies to manage and optimize energy use across power generation, transmission and distribution, and the demand side in an integrated manner.
