Dainichi revised its ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter (April-September) of the fiscal year ending April 2026 upward from the previous forecast and announced an increase to its record-profit forecast. It also raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast and revised its net profit outlook upward.
On 5 November, Dainichi announced a revision to its first-half earnings forecast, raising ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending April 2026 from the previous forecast of ¥1,400 million to ¥1,990 million. Net sales were raised from the previous forecast of ¥23,000 million to ¥24,000 million, while operating profit was increased from ¥1,300 million to ¥1,880 million.
At the same time, the company raised its full-year consolidated ordinary profit forecast from ¥2.9 billion to ¥3.2 billion and expects growth compared with the previous fiscal year's actual results. The profit growth rate is expected to be higher than in the previous forecast, with the revision also affecting forecasts for net profit and dividends per share.
The current-fiscal-year earnings forecast was revised in response to strong first-half results and includes the interim-period profit outlook. The company stated that the forecast could be revised again depending on future market conditions and trends in foreign exchange rates and raw-material prices.
