A wrapped truck promoting Tenri City was unveiled at Tenri City Hall in Nara Prefecture. The project was carried out with the cooperation of 辻本運送, which plans to add wrapping to the sides of the vehicle.
A wrapped truck intended to promote the municipality was unveiled at Tenri City Hall on 5 October 2015. The truck bears the words “The Road Where Japan Began: Tenri City,” and the project was described as an effort to work with the city’s initiatives to promote Tenri’s appeal more widely.
辻本運送 provided support, and President Tsujimoto Hiroyuki (辻本廣行) said that he had discussed expanding the city’s promotional activities with the mayor and expressed a desire to “promote the city more.” Photographer Sakaguchi Giichi (阪口義一) commented on when the photographs were taken and how they would be used.
The project began about six months earlier. At present, only the rear of the truck is wrapped, but the company is considering adding wrapping to the sides in consultation with the mayor. Tenri Mayor Namikawa Ken (並河健) welcomed the project as a public-private initiative originating in Tenri.
辻本運送 said the aim was to encourage people to take an interest in the city and announced plans to increase the size of its vehicle fleet.
