SMILE-UP. announced that it would change its management structure following the expiration of the directors' terms. Representative Director Noriyuki Higashiyama (東山紀之) and Senior Managing Director Akira Abe (安部朗) will leave office, while Julie Keiko Fujishima (藤島ジュリー景子) will remain in office.
At a board meeting held the same day, it was disclosed that a new management structure would be established effective 1 October, with emphasis placed on expertise in compensation work for victims of the sexual abuse issue involving Johnny Kitagawa (ジャニー喜多川).
The CCO will change from Higashiyama to attorney Masayuki Yamada (山田将之), who will newly take up the role.
The company said this does not mean that its response to the sexual abuse issue will end, and that it will continue to carry out the necessary procedures concerning compensation for victims, including cases under dispute.
