Osaka Gas launched a program for students receiving job offers in fiscal 2025 to support study-abroad and qualification costs. Oji Holdings is strengthening support through scholarships until students join the company, seeking to retain them after the job-offer ceremony.
Major companies in Japan gathered students scheduled to join them in spring 2027 for job-offer ceremonies on the 1st. Companies are supporting students’ self-development until they join through study-abroad funding and monthly scholarships, taking steps to retain them. Osaka Gas began a program for students receiving job offers in fiscal 2025 to support study-abroad and qualification costs. The support is intended for approximately 1 month of short-term study abroad, with a limit of several hundred thousand yen.
As support measures following job-offer ceremonies at major companies, ongoing financial assistance through scholarships is increasing. Oji Holdings has indicated a policy of using its scholarship program to support students’ self-development until they join the company, strengthening efforts to retain them during the period between receiving a job offer and joining.
