It was announced that the initiative of General Incorporated Association Japan Healthcare Platform (NHP) received the Excellence Award in the Regional DX Category of the Japan DX Awards 2026. The award recognized the regional healthcare infrastructure, titled “Connecting Regional Healthcare Digitally: Moving Beyond Paper, Telephone and Fax,” established through collaboration among Yonago City, Tottori University Hospital, local medical institutions and エッグ. The award cited the accumulation of a regional healthcare infrastructure covering 30,000 people and 360 facilities, as well as its steady execution in addressing hospital management and operational challenges.
NHP connects referral appointments, the sharing of clinical information, digital medical ID cards and hospital transfer coordination on a common digital platform, modernizing healthcare coordination that had depended on paper, telephone and fax. This is reported to have improved patient services while reducing the administrative burden on healthcare professionals.
The initiative was highly evaluated not only for the completeness of its system, but also for the collaborative model itself, which brings together local government, medical institutions and companies. Yonago City, Tottori University Hospital, local medical institutions and エッグ divided responsibilities, and the initiative attracted attention as a sustainable public-private partnership model promoted under NHP as its nonprofit operating body. The initiative is planned to be expanded nationwide from its base in Yonago.
