NS Solutions Corporation announced that it has partnered with US-based Anthropic and will launch a service proposing an AI platform for Nippon Steel. The first offering will provide the platform to Nippon Steel, with plans to expand external sales to other manufacturing sectors, including nonferrous metals and automobiles, in the future.
NS Solutions Corporation (NSSOL) announced on the 28th that it had partnered with US-based Anthropic and plans to launch enterprise services using the company’s generative AI. As its first offering, NSSOL will propose an AI platform for Nippon Steel, while also pursuing external sales to nonferrous metals, automobiles and other sectors within the current fiscal year.
The strategic partnership agreement was signed on 18 September and will take effect on 1 October. Among Nippon Steel-affiliated systems integrators, this will be the fourth such initiative, following NEC, Hitachi and Fujitsu. It will be the first such initiative among user-oriented systems integrators formed by separating the information systems division of a parent company.
NSSOL will use Anthropic’s generative AI model Claude. For Nippon Steel, it aims to develop an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in which AI agents perform some tasks, enabling employees and AI agents to work together on complex operations such as production planning, procurement, production and inventory management, thereby supporting higher productivity and faster decision-making.
NSSOL also plans to use Claude for its own system development and maintenance, with approximately 11,000 employees using it. In areas such as vulnerability assessments, the company is also considering using Anthropic’s advanced AI system Claude Mythos.
